Three Tuscaloosa Police officers, whose names I will post later,  decided to use excessive force against a 100 lb. 21 year old female since I ran five feet from them because I felt threatened, basically picked me up, threw me on the ground, my face hit the concrete, the three cops got  on top of me- one was holding my head to the pavement with his mag light, who had previously hit me in the leg with it three times, all the time this cop, this PIG, had me on the ground, he was calling me a ‘Fucking whore’ which he said at least three times. I was not able to resist at this point, even if I had wanted to. I was yelling to Lance to pay attention to what was happening to me and they didnt like that very much so then he sprayed a constant spray of pepper spray all over my entire face, including my mouth..I could still talk to Lance so then he sprayed a long spray a second time.. picked me up off the ground and put cuffs on me as tight as they would go, threw me in the car and buckled the seat belt so i couldn’t move and then shut all the doors and left me there, alone, in excruciating pain. It took everything for me to be able to breath, I was basically almost suffocating and honestly, that was the only time in my life where I thought I might die. when I got to jail I asked twice for first aid because I have a gash in my head that was still bleeding and open wounds on my face..but they never even got a nurse to look at it, clean it or put something on it. When I went to the Doctor, they told me the gash was bad enough to get stitches, but I should have gotten them within an hour of it happening.  these are the people who “protect and serve” you.

I don’t feel too sympathetic. You shouldn’t have run. Even if they WERE being threatening, that will only antagonize them and make it worse. Sure, you should have gotten first aid. But getting banged up was YOUR fault. Look at it from their shoes. They put their lives on the line every time they stop someone. They don’t know if you are reaching for a wallet or a gun. And if you run, even five feet, the adrenaline they feel from the tension alone is enough to warrant a tackling. Not to mention, THEY don’t know you panicked and planned on stopping in two yards. All they know is you just ran from a fucking police officer
What were they after you for in the first place, even
And how recent is this pic? Looks like some scrapes, not a gash. So unless the gash healed faster.…

She just got beaten by the POLICE and you’re berating her??? Have some fucking sympathy, it’s not easy to think clearly three large men are ganging up on you, it’s fight or flight at that point. You’re giving a textbook example of victim blaming nick, the cops had No Reason to use that much force against an unarmed women. So instead of blaming her for being scared maybe we should blame the police for not even giving her treatment when they arrested her.

I’m trying to remain a neutral party here and look at it from the sides of each party involved. As a police officer, as I’ve said, you’re already jumped up on adrenaline because you literally cannot tell if someone is hiding a gun. And if they start to run, you don’t know that they are just scared. To you, it looks like they are actually attempting to flee, which not only means you have to chase them down, but it also means—in the event they actually run—that they do not respect your authority or the law. How do you suppose that makes you feel.
And she should have no reason to be intimidated. If she did nothing wrong, they can’t do anything to her—legally. If they do anything illegally, then you have a valid reason to bitch about the corruption of police.
I think it is far more likely that a majority of police officers are genuinely trying to uphold the law rather than corrupt cops. Stories like this one, however, propagate the idea that police are on a power trip and are out to get you because they are the law and they can. This, in turn, just increases our disrespect for the average cop, even though he may be a fucking guardian angel of justice, and we have more problems like this one.
I’m not saying they shouldn’t have treated her, and I’m not saying she deserved to be restrained in the way she was, but I think there’s another side to the story, or that something was left out.
And I’m certainly not berating her. I’m just saying that she is going to be more indignant about the ordeal, because that’s what happens when you are manhandled by the police, regardless of the cause. It’s a conflict of interest at that point. So I’m trying to look at it from the sire of the cops who haven’t had the chance to give their side.
tl;dr
She was ganged up by three men who were doing their job as officers to apprehend someone they thought was about to flee, someone who, if she had done nothing wrong in the first place, would have no legitimate reason to be afraid, which makes her short run from the officers in panic all the more suspicious in the eyes of the officers.
They shouldn’t have gone overboard with the pepper spray or the cuffs, and should have treated her injuries. But it wouldn’t have happened at all under ordinary circumstances.

It’s sad that the first thing you decided to say was that you did not feel any sympathy.. I will just say that I forgive you for your cold apathy.
“But getting banged up was YOUR fault.”
No, actually, it wasn’t MY fault that I got “banged up”. It is 100% the three male officers faults for making the decision to slam a 100 lb, 5 foot tall, 21 year old female on the ground. If these officers were trained to follow correct rules of engagement or simply understood how to show respect for other human beings, they would have simply either grabbed a hold of me or even just realized that a pull on my back would have been enough to restrain me, since I was literally not even five feet away and I am very petite. Every human being on this planet puts his life on the line in daily activities, such as driving a car. With all the reports of unnecessary excessive police force that has been used on people, that in many, and in an increasing number of cases, has lead to death, and since a police officer is the one that carries several different weapons on his damn belt at all times and is basically justified and allowed to use them whenever they please, as if all situations are black and white. I think it is a lot safer to say that citizens put their lives on the line when they get pulled over. Not the other way around.
The second officer walked up, he immediately approached me with an intentional intimidating attitude and asked me what was in my pockets. I started taking out my phone, lighter and wallet-BECAUSE I THOUGHT THATS WHAT HE WANTED, to make sure that I was being completely cooperative and to let him know I had nothing illegal. His anger accelerated and he yelled at me that I was not doing as I was told and that I was not cooperating..He even patted me down(and found nothing).
Let me point this out again..They literally did know I was NOT carrying a gun…The officers, indeed, DID KNOW that I was not armed and did not have anything on me because I had already emptied all my possessions out of my pockets and been patted down. I am five fucking feet tall, 100 fucking pounds and 21 fucking years old. There was definitely no physical threat that these three police officers could have possibly been feeling from me at any point in time during this altercation.
They were completely aware of the fact that I was panicking because I let the officer know 3 times (one of which he hit me in three different spots on my leg with his mag light) that I was having trouble breathing and was having claustrophobic onset. With no respect or empathy for me as a person, they tried to make my arrest as uncomfortable as possible.

How the Hell do you suppose it makes ME feel to get, not tackled, but slammed to the ground, by not one officer, but THREE officers, while being called a Fucking Whore repeatedly and having my face held down to the cement with a Mag light to the point of creating either a gash in my head (that ACCORDING TO A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL,which I have documentation of, if I would have been given the medical attention that I needed and asked for, would have required 2-3 stitches) or the gigantic bruise/ knot that is now on the back of my head. THEN, after already being restrained by THREE adult men, with no way to resist even if I had wanted to, given an extremely excessive spray to my entire face (including my mouth), since they did not ‘approve’ of me telling my witness to observe the way I was being treated. Not just one excessive spray, not two excessive sprays, but THREE TIMES, I was sprayed on my entire face, including on my wound where the skin was completely torn from my face and it was completely raw.
“And she should have no reason to be intimidated.” How can you just sit behind your computer screen and assume that I had no reason to be intimidated? As I have already stated, it was obvious from the beginning that this officer’s intention was to make me feel as intimidated as possible.
“If she did nothing wrong, they can’t do anything to her—legally. If they do anything illegally, then you have a valid reason to bitch about the corruption of police.”
I understand exactly which laws I broke, and I was willing to serve the consequences for those. But I and thousands of other citizens that are protesting this kind of police brutality, are not willing to be passive any longer for police officers taking advantage of the authority that has been handed to them.
“This, in turn, just increases our disrespect for the average cop, even though he may be a fucking guardian angel of justice, and we have more problems like this one.”
You are damn right it increases our disrespect for the average cop, because if you look at the numbers, and I can personally attest to this with all my encounters that I have had with police officers, the “average cop” is not a fucking guardian angel of justice. They are even more enslaved, suffering, blind ,asleep citizens of the world than the average person.
